The taste of homemade herbal tea is so fresh and clean. Why not try and make you own?
I have to say I'm one if those people who will plant all my herbs in the garden and then forget to use most of them. One of the simplest ways to incorporate your herbs into your diet other than in cooking is to make your own herbal tea and its so quick and easy. Here is my recipe for a relaxing bedtime drink.
5 black peppermint leaves
4 lemon balm leaves
4 lavender buds
Wash the herbs in a colander;
Steep in freshly bolied hot water for 5 minutes on a small bowl or heat proof glass jug.
Pour through a fine sieve or muslin cloth into a cup.
Enjoy the fresh taste of you soothing drink.
My other favourite combination is fresh camomile flowers with one sprig of mint.
